On Saturday 18th June 2011 from 9.00 in Brno on Faculty of Informatics hosted the second annual Openmobility conference. The theme was open mobile technology and open source hardware. Mainly Linux and other open source software on mobile phones, tablets and netbooks. You could look forward to an interesting embedded devices, which can make full use of their potential, and also on open hardware. It can serve as a platform to implement your ideas and you also have the possibility to adapt it to your needs.
Speakers presented an interesting open software and hardware technologies and these technologies based products. Visitors are offered a comprehensive overview of open mobile technologies, demonstration of open source software for mobile devices and the development of insight into the actual hardware. The program included practical workshops where visitors can familiarize yourself with the topics presented at lectures and get a detailed look into the issue. We showed you a variety of open mobile device, whether it’s a phone, PDA, tablet, netbook, reader of books and interesting development kit and show our visitors what they can do it and what software it’s running. We shared with you about my experience with the development of open mobile devices, the interesting hardware hacking or creating their own.
This year was aimed both at developers that outlines several platforms, as well as to users who may know the products are built on open technologies and systems. The program is divided into a lecture hall and into a PC lab. PC lab will be used for workshops and for lectures, so it is always stated in brackets whether it is a lecture (P) or Workshop (W). In the foyer there will be demonstrations of various mobile devices and development boards / kits ( showroom ), such as Nokia N900, Neo FreeRunner, Touch Book, Genesi Efika, Panda Board, STAX, Arduino.
